Product Capability & Features

WizData is an AI-powered assistant purpose-built for the modern CFO organization. It delivers accurate financial insights in seconds — tasks that traditionally take hours or days. WizData connects directly to your enterprise systems, understands your business context, and responds in plain language, enabling finance professionals to focus on strategic decision-making rather than manual data gathering and preparation.

WizData supports a broad range of finance and operational activities, including data analytics, financial consolidation, financial reporting, flux and variance analysis, month-end close analysis, budgeting and forecasting, business and scenario modeling, headcount planning, capital allocation, treasury and cash management, regulatory reporting, and investor relations analysis.

Yes. WizData can analyze historical financial and operational data to identify trends, drivers, and relationships across your business. Finance teams can leverage these insights to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and planning decisions. WizData complements your existing planning tools by making the underlying data easier to explore and understand.

Our dedicated planning and forecasting module is currently in controlled beta — contact us to learn more.

WizData integrates with a wide range of structured and unstructured data sources:

  • Structured sources: ERP, CRM, HRIS, inventory management, procurement, MES (manufacturing execution systems), and existing data lakes, warehouses, or cubes.
  • Unstructured sources: Shared drives, intranet portals, company-wide communication channels, and internet search.

Absolutely. WizData can ingest your proprietary Excel workbooks to learn KPI definitions, financial calculations, and reporting logic. These learnings can then be scaled and applied across any dimension of your organization. WizData can also read policies, memos, presentations, and other internal documents to enrich context and deliver more relevant insights.

Yes. As your business evolves, WizData can incorporate updated definitions and institutional knowledge — often directly from the spreadsheets, policies, and documentation your finance team already uses. This ensures that insights remain aligned with your organization's current financial logic and reporting standards.

Yes. Beyond descriptive and diagnostic analytics, WizData delivers prescriptive recommendations informed by industry-specific best practices. These recommendations can be customized to reflect your unique business environment and strategic priorities.

Yes. You can define your own formats for financial reports. WizData also offers a wide variety of chart and graph templates that can be customized with your company logo, color scheme, and fonts to create presentation-ready outputs.

Because WizData reads from your source systems in real time, the impact of new transactions is typically reflected within seconds.

Yes. WizData is designed for business users, not technical specialists. Finance professionals can ask questions in plain, natural language — no knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or specialized analytics tools is required. This makes WizData accessible to everyone from financial analysts to senior leadership.

While WizData is designed primarily for CFO organizations, it integrates data from multiple business systems, enabling cross-functional analysis and collaboration:

  • HR: Resource planning and analysis by role, region, start date, and compensation, including modeling for hiring, attrition, and backfills.
  • Engineering: ROI analysis on products, resource allocation insights, and monitoring of key cost parameters such as cloud spend.
  • Sales: Revenue forecast insights including pipeline and funnel analysis, and salesforce allocation.
  • Marketing: Campaign ROI analysis, customer acquisition cost (CAC) optimization, and custom KPI tracking.
  • Executive teams: Consolidated dashboards, scenario models, and KPI monitoring against strategic goals.

No. WizData operates in a strictly read-only mode. It accesses information through secure integrations and generates analysis — it never modifies your source data.

Why WizData?

WizData enables finance teams to get answers to complex business questions in seconds rather than hours or days. It accelerates financial analysis, improves visibility into operational drivers, and reduces reliance on manual data preparation. Finance teams can quickly understand the "story behind the numbers" across multiple systems — without waiting for custom reports or data extractions.

Finance professionals often spend a disproportionate amount of time gathering, reconciling, and preparing data before analysis can even begin. WizData automates these steps by directly accessing your enterprise systems and generating contextual insights on demand. This frees your team to focus on strategic analysis and decision support rather than manual data wrangling.

Organizations typically realize ROI through significantly reduced manual analysis time, faster financial reporting cycles, and more timely decision-making. WizData helps finance teams answer complex questions instantly — reducing reliance on multiple analysts, IT requests, or time-consuming report-generation processes. The resulting productivity gains allow finance teams to redirect effort toward higher-value strategic initiatives.

Traditional BI tools are typically limited to predefined visualizations of historical data. WizData goes further — it not only provides flexible dashboards with varied visualizations, but also delivers insights into the why behind the numbers. WizData supports complex financial models and can generate forecasts and driver-based KPIs, capabilities that add meaningful value beyond static dashboards and charts.

WizData complements your existing analytics tools rather than requiring you to rip and replace. Many organizations continue using dashboards and reporting systems for structured, recurring reports, while leveraging WizData for ad-hoc analysis and rapid exploration of emerging questions. WizData also provides easy-to-configure widgets and dashboarding capabilities managed by business users — and over time, many clients find it can consolidate their BI footprint entirely.

WizData is thoroughly tested and designed to scale from small businesses to large enterprises. Our data processing approach is built for accuracy, not hallucination. Building equivalent capability internally means taking on the significant burden of testing, maintenance, security, and ongoing development. Just as organizations license their ERP rather than building one from scratch, the same principle applies to enterprise-grade AI analytics.

General-purpose AI tools are powerful foundational technologies — but they are not enterprise-ready financial products. While you may be able to configure a general-purpose AI to perform a subset of the tasks WizData handles, you would not benefit from the rigorous testing, ongoing support, enterprise security, and purpose-built data integration that WizData provides. Think of it as the difference between a chemistry benchtop experiment and a production-grade facility.

Today's CFO is expected to be a strategic partner to the business, not just a financial steward. WizData empowers finance teams with faster access to insights and a deeper understanding of operational drivers, enabling a shift from reactive reporting toward proactive, data-driven decision support.

Yes. WizData provides a transparent and auditable record of the data sources, calculations, and documents used to generate each insight. This traceability supports internal audit processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements.

Technology and Data Security

WizData is architected with finance professionals in mind, where accuracy is non-negotiable. Our architecture separates data computation from language generation: all numerical outputs are sourced directly from your underlying enterprise systems rather than generated by a language model. Large language models are used only to create narratives and explanations about verified numbers. This design prevents common AI risks such as fabricated figures or misleading metrics.

Yes. WizData provides transparent explanations by showing the underlying data sources, calculations, and documents used to produce each answer. Users can trace insights back to original systems, spreadsheets, or documents, enabling quick validation and maintaining confidence in the analysis.

WizData leverages multiple best-in-class vendor LLMs as part of its internal operations, selecting the most appropriate model for each task. Our value lies in how we orchestrate these models alongside our data processing and integration layer to deliver accurate, finance-grade insights.

WizData is designed with enterprise governance in mind. The platform respects your existing access controls, audit trails, and data permissions. Financial insights generated by WizData adhere to the same compliance and accountability standards as your existing data management and reporting processes.

No. WizData connects directly to your source systems and reads data in real time. There is no need to build or maintain a separate data lake, warehouse, or cube. If you already have one, WizData can leverage it as an additional data source — but it is not a prerequisite.

WizData is hosted on leading public cloud infrastructure, delivering enterprise-grade availability, scalability, and performance.

Data security and privacy are foundational to WizData's design. Each customer operates within a fully isolated instance with no shared resources. Because WizData does not replicate or store your source data in a centralized repository, the risk of data leakage is virtually eliminated. All data handling follows best-in-class security practices.

WizData's architecture fully isolates every customer environment. Since we do not store your source data, there is no risk of leakage or inadvertent access between customers. You can further secure any data stored within WizData by using your own encryption keys.

WizData integrates with your company's existing identity and access management systems (such as Active Directory). When a user queries data, WizData passes that user's credentials to the underlying source systems, ensuring they can only access data they are already authorized to see. Your existing access control policies are automatically enforced.

Yes. Each user can configure private data sources that only they have visibility into. While read-only results can be shared across the organization, other users cannot modify the query or ask follow-up questions that access another user's private data sources.

WizData is designed to support compliance with prevailing data privacy regulations. Because WizData does not replicate or centrally store your source data, and because it enforces your existing access controls, it reduces the compliance surface area. We recommend discussing your specific regulatory requirements with our team during onboarding.

Deployment, Operations, and Support

WizData is designed for rapid deployment and can be up and running in as little as one business day. This is possible because WizData connects directly to your existing systems without requiring data migration, warehouse construction, or complex configuration.

No. WizData is designed for rapid, business-led deployment. The vast majority of clients deploy and manage WizData without external consultants. In a small number of complex use cases, additional advisory support may be helpful, but it is not required.

During onboarding, the WizData team works with you to connect your data sources, configure user access, and — if desired — ingest your KPI definitions and institutional documents. The process is streamlined to minimize disruption, and most clients are fully operational within a single day.

Yes. WizData's cloud-native, serverless architecture is built to scale seamlessly as your organization grows — whether that means more users, more data sources, or more complex analytical requirements. There is no need to re-architect or migrate to a different platform as your needs evolve.

WizData charges an annual platform access fee plus a usage-based fee determined by the volume of activity. Standard support is included in the platform access fee.

No. Onboarding is managed by the WizData team as part of the standard engagement at no additional cost.

No. There is no incremental charge based on the number of data sources you connect.
